Hi! For salt use table salt. I don’t recall which type of flour I used, but it was definitely all purpose. They are pure white with huge salt crystals, and don’t have the lovely antique brown that you show here- which is why I chose this recipe in the first place. Did you use a whole wheat flour? Does the oil create the color, even though it’s marked as optional? Thanks!
